"శంకర్ దాదా జిందాబాద్" చిత్ర అపజయానికి దర్శకుడు ప్రభుదేవాయే కారణమని చిత్ర హీరో చిరంజీవి అభిప్రాయం వ్యక్తం చేసారు. ఇటీవల "జయ టి.వి" మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవితో ప్రత్యేక ఇంటర్వ్యూ నిర్వహించింది. ప్రముఖ నటి సుహాసిని చిరంజీవిని ఇంటర్వ్యూ చేసింది. ఇందులో చిరంజీవి తన జీవిత అనుభవాలను, సినీ పరిశ్రమలోకి వచ్చిన తొలి నాళ్ళలో చెన్నైలో గడచిన జీవితం, సౌత్ ఇండియన్ ఫిల్మ్ అకాడెమీలో తను, రజినీకాంత్, మోహన్ బాబులు కలిసి చదువుకున్న సంగతులు, చెన్నై పాండీ బజార్ ముచ్చట్లు, పానగల్ పార్క్ కబుర్లు అన్నీ కూలంకశంగా చర్చించిన ఈ ఇంటర్వ్యూలో "శంకర్ దాదా జిందాబాద్" చిత్రం ఫెయిల్ కావడానికి దర్శకుడు ప్రభుదేవా కూడా ఒక కారణమని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఒక హిందీ చిత్రాన్ని మరో ప్రాంతీయ భాషలోకి మార్చుతున్నప్పుడు తీసుకోవాల్సిన జాగ్రత్తలపట్ల ప్రభుదేవా పూర్తి జాగ్రత్త వహించలేదని ఆయన అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ఇందులో హీరోయిన్ పరిస్థితి మరీ దారుణమని, ఒక విధంగా ఈ సినిమా ఆమెకు యాక్టింగ్ స్కూల్ లా మారిందనే అభిప్రాయాన్ని నటి సుహాసిని వ్యక్తం చేసింది. దానికి చిరంజీవి సహితం అవుననే విధంగా స్పందించారు. ఇక తన 150వ చిత్రంగూర్చి వచ్చిన చర్చలో "ఉయ్యలవాడ నరసింహా రెడ్డి" కథను అదే పేరుతో తన భార్య సురేఖ నిర్మాణంలో నిర్మించాలని అనుకుంటున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. దీనికి తను దర్శకత్వం వహిస్తున్నానని వస్తున్న వార్తలపట్ల "ఇంకా దర్శకుడిని ఫైనల్ చెయ్యలేద"ని మాత్రం చెప్పి ఊరుకున్నారు. తన రాజకీయ ప్రవేశం గూర్చి "తనకా ఆలోచనే లేదని" పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ ఇంటర్వ్యూ మొత్తం తమిళంలో సాగింది. కా గా చిరంజీవి ఇటీవల విశ్రాంతి కోసం బెంగులూరు వెళ్ళినప్పుడు ఈ ఇంటర్వ్యూ తీసుకోవడం జరిగిందని "జయ టి.వి." తెలిపింది. ఈ ఇంటర్వ్యూ తమిళ ప్రేక్షకులను అమితంగా ఆకట్టుకున్నట్లు తెలిసింది.

రాజకీయాల్లోకి రావడమే ఎన్.టి.ఆర్. చేసిన పాపమా...!?

అవుననే చెప్పాలి. భారత దేశం గర్వించదగ్గ గొప్ప నటుడు, దర్శకుడు, నిర్మాతగా ఆయనను ప్రపంచమే గుర్తించింది. అయినా కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఎందుకు గుర్తించడం లేదు. ఎన్.టి.ఆర్ నటనను ఆస్వాదించని ఒక్క తెలుగు వాడుంటాడా అని చెప్పడం కష్టం. ఆంధ్ర రాష్ట్రంలో ఓ కథుంది. ఓ పేదవాడు తన కష్టాలను తీర్చమని ప్రతిరోజూ దేవాలయంలో మ్రొక్కుకునేవాడు. అతని కష్టాలను చూసిన దేవునికి అతనిపై జాలి కలిగి ఒకరోజు ఆ పేద భక్తునికి ప్రత్యక్షమై "భక్తా, నీ భక్తికి మెచ్చాను,ఏం కావాలో కోరుకో " అనగానే ఆ పేద భక్తుడు భగవంతునివైపు బాగా పరిశీలనగా చూసి "పో పోవయ్యా, పొద్దున్నే నీకు నేనే దొరికానా, భగవంతుడంటే ఎట్టా వుంటాడు మా ఎంటోడిలాగా(ఎన్.టి.ఆర్ లాగా) వుంటాడు, నేను ఎన్ని సినిమాలలో సూల్లేదు, కృష్నుడిగా, రాముడిగా, రావణాసురునిగా, దేవుడైనా, రాచ్చసుడైనా ఎట్టావుంటాదో మాతెలుగు సినిమాలు సూసే వాళ్ళకంతా ఎరికే, నీ పగటి యేషాలు నాదగ్గర చూయించకు, యెళ్ళు, యెళ్ళి మరెవరినైనా అడుక్కో కలో, గంజో పోస్తారు" అనగానే ఆ దేవుడికి సహితం దిమ్మతిరిగిపోతుందని ఆ కథ సారాంశం. తన నటనతో తెలుగు ప్రజానీకం హృదయాల్లో అంతగా స్థానం సంపాదించిన గొప్ప నటుడు స్వర్గీయ నందమూరి తారక రామారావు. అంతటి మహా నటుడికి ఇంతవరకూ భారతీయ చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలో గొప్పదైన "దాదా సాహెబ్ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు" ఎందుకు రాలేదంటే సమాధానం ఏమని చెప్పాలి. దాదా సాహెబ్ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు సరే కనీసం తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమలో గొప్పదైన "రఘుపతి వెంకయ్య అవార్డు" ఎందుకు రాలేదని ఎవరైనా అడిగితే ఏమని చెప్పాలి. కుళ్ళు రాజకీయాలకు ఎన్.టి.ఆర్. ప్రతిభ కానరాలేదని చెప్పాలా...లేక ఎన్.టి.ఆర్.కు ఆయా అవార్డులను సాధించే సత్తాలేదని చెప్పాలా. నిజంగా ఇది తెలుగు వారు సిగ్గు పడాల్సిన విషయం. గతంలో ఉన్న తెలుగు దేశ ప్రభుత్వంగానీ, ప్రస్థుతమున్న కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం గానీ ఈ విషయంలో పెద్ద ప్రాధాన్యాన్ని ఇవ్వలేదని తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమ చెబుతోంది. తెలుగు వారి కీర్తి పతాకాన్ని ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఎగురవేసిన నందమూరి తారక రాముని పట్ల ఇంతటి హీన స్థితి నిజంగా దురదృష్టకరం. ఈ విశయంలో ప్రభుత్వాలో, లేక సినీ పరిశ్రమో అడుగు ముందుకు వేసి ఒక గొప్ప నటుడికి సరైన గౌరవాన్ని కలిగించాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను.

రైతుబాంధవునికి సముచిత పురస్కారం

పాలగుమ్మి సాయినాథ్ కు మెగసెసె అవార్డ్ వచ్చిన నాటి నుండీ అతని గురించి ఒక పోస్టు రాయాలనుకుని వాయిదా వేస్తూ వచ్చాను. మొన్న ఆదివారం ఈనాడులో ఎం.ఎల్. నరసింహా రెడ్డి సాయినాథ్ పై చక్కని వ్యాసం రాసాడు.
మిత్రుడు ఇస్మాయిల్ పెనుకొండ ఆపాటికే సదరు వ్యాసం గురించి తన బ్లాగులో ప్రస్తావించాడు.
అయినా ఒక రికార్డ్ ఉండాలని మొత్తం వ్యాసాన్ని దిగువ ఇస్తున్నాను.
రైతు బాంధవుడు
కంప్యూటర్లూ సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్ల గురించి మాత్రమే అంతా ఆలోచిస్తున్న ఈ ఆధునిక యుగంలో… ప్రియురాలి వంటి పట్నాన్నే కాదు… తల్లివంటి పల్లెను కూడా తలచుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందనుకున్నాడో వ్యక్తి! అనుకోవడమే కాదు, అకుంఠిత దీక్షతో నెలల తరబడి గ్రామాల వెంట తిరిగాడు. ఎక్కడ సమస్య ఉంటే అక్కడికి వెళ్లాడు. అందుకు కారణమైన లోతుల్ని తరచిచూశాడు. అక్షరబద్ధం చేశాడు. పాలకుల, ప్రజల దృష్టికి తెచ్చాడు. ఆయనే పాలగుమ్మి సాయినాథ్‌. ఈ ఏడాది రామన్‌ మెగసెసే అవార్డు విజేత.
మనదేశంలో సేద్యం ఎప్పణ్నుంచో ఉంది. రైతూ ఎప్పణ్నుంచో ఉన్నాడు. సాగులో ఇబ్బందులూ అంత పాతవే. కానీ… సంస్కరణల కారణంగా తలెత్తుతున్న సమస్యలు మాత్రం కొత్తవి. వాటిని వెలికితీసి రైతన్నల వెతలను ప్రపంచానికి తెలియజేశారు పాలగుమ్మి సాయినాథ్‌. పేరు గొప్ప పాలకులు చేసే ఆర్భాటపు ప్రకటనలూ విధానాలూ ఆచరణలో, క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో ఎలా డొల్లపోతున్నాయో ససాక్ష్యంగా నిరూపించే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. బ్లిట్జ్‌ పత్రికలో విదేశీ వ్యవహారాల సంపాదకునిగా చేసిన సాయినాథ్‌… గ్రామీణ భారతం కోసం ఫ్రీలాన్సు జర్నలిస్టు అవతారం ఎత్తారు. టైమ్స్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియా ఫెలోషిప్‌తో దేశంలోనే అత్యంత వెనుకబడిన జిల్లాల్లో పర్యటించి 18నెలల్లో 84కథనాలతో అవినీతిపరుల గుండెల్లో దడ పుట్టించారు. మహారాష్ట్ర విదర్భ రైతుల ఆత్మహత్యల గురించి ఆయన రాసిన కథనాలతో ప్రధానమంత్రి కార్యాలయం కదిలింది. గత జూన్‌-జులై నెలల్లో ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్‌ సింగ్‌ ఆ ప్రాంతాల్లో పర్యటించారు.ఓ సీనియర్‌ జర్నలిస్టు మాటల ప్రకారం సాయినాథ్‌ అంటే… ీద బ్యాడ్‌బోయ్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియన్‌ జర్నలిజం’. ఆయన మాటల వెనుక నేపథ్యం తెలుసుకునే ముందు ఇంకా చాలా విషయాల గురించి ఆలోచించాల్సి ఉంది.
ప్రత్యక్షంగానో పరోక్షంగానో మనదేశంలో 60 శాతం మందికి పైగా వ్యవసాయంపైనే ఆధారపడి ఉన్నారు. కానీ మన పాలకులకు ఆ రంగమంటేనే అలవిమాలిన నిర్లక్ష్యం. సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌పైనో, సిమెంటు, ఉక్కు ఫ్యాక్టరీలపైనో, మరో రంగంపైనో చూపించిన శ్రద్ధలో కనీసం వందోవంతు కూడా దానిపై చూపించరు.
మనం రోజూ పత్రికలు తిరగేస్తుంటాం. ఏదో ఒక మూల “అప్పుల బాధ భరించలేక… ఆత్మహత్య” అని సింగిల్‌కాలం వార్త కనిపిస్తుంది. కానీ మనం దాన్ని కనీసం చూడనైనా చూడం. అలా చనిపోయింది ఎవరో, ఎందుకలా బలవంతంగా ప్రాణాలు తీసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చిందో ఒక్కసారి కూడా మనసు పెట్టి చదవం. రోజూ తినే కూరగాయలు ఎలా వచ్చాయో, వాటిని పండించడానికి ఎందరు, ఎంత కష్టపడుతున్నారో వాళ్లకు జరుగుతున్న అన్యాయమేంటో ఆలోచించం.
ఆ రైతులే ఒక ఏడాదో, రెండేళ్లో సమ్మెచేస్తే…మేము ఈ పని చేయం, వేరేది చూసుకుంటాం అని భీష్మిస్తే…మన నోట్లోకి నాలుగు వేళ్లూ పోవు.రుచులు తీరవు. కడుపులు నిండవు.మన జేబులిలా నిండుగా ఉండవు.ఆరుగాలం స్వేదం చిందించినా…ఎవరి ఆదరణకూ, కనీసం సానుభూతికి నోచని ఆ అభాగ్యజీవులే మన రైతన్నలు. మన అన్నదాతలు!రుణమనే పొలాన్ని.. శరీరమనే నాగలితో దున్ని… ఎర్రటి ఎండలో చిందిన చెమట చుక్కల్ని సాగునీరుగా పోసి… శ్రమను నాటేసి… అలుపెరుగని కష్టాన్ని ఎరువుగా వేసి… నష్టమనే దిగుబడి పొంది… ఆత్మహత్య అనే ఆదాయాన్ని సంపాదించుకుంటున్నాడు మన రైతన్న!సేద్యమనే ఉద్యోగం వెుదలుపెట్టి… దాన్ని చేయలేక, చేసే చేవలేక… మధ్యలోనే బలవంతంగా స్వచ్ఛంద పదవీ విరమణ చేసి… అర్ధాంతరంగా బతుకు నుంచి విరమించుకుంటున్నాడా మట్టిమనిషి! ఆ రైతన్న కథ, వ్యథ, విషాద గాథ కూడా వార్తేననీ, పాలకులు, ప్రజలతో పాటు అందరూ పట్టించుకోవాల్సిన అంశమేననీ అనుకున్నారు సాయినాథ్‌. అదే ఆయనకు బ్యాడ్‌బోయ్‌ అన్న బిరుదు సంపాదించి పెట్టింది.
* * *ప్రఖ్యాతిగాంచిన ఆర్థిక వేత్త, నోబెల్‌ పురస్కార గ్రహీత అమర్త్యసేన్‌ మాటల్లో చెప్పాలంటే ఆకలి, దుర్భిక్షంపై ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యంత లోతుగా అధ్యయనం చేసిన నిపుణుల్లో సాయినాథ్‌ ఒకరు. తాను ఎవరి గురించి రాస్తారో వారిని గౌరవిస్తారాయన. వారితో మమేకమై వాళ్లు చెప్పింది ఓపిగ్గా వింటారు. వారి సమస్యలకు కారణమైన విధానాలపైన, కారకులైన పాలకులపైన తీవ్రంగా స్పందిస్తారు. పాలకులను నిద్రలేపేలా ఆయన కథనాలు ఉంటాయి. ఆయన కలం, గళం రెండూ శక్తిమంతమైనవే. పేదలు, అణగారిన వర్గాల సమస్యలపై ఎంత తీవ్రంగా స్పందించి రాస్తారో, వారి తరఫున అంత కంటే గట్టిగా మాట్లాడతారు. రాతలోనూ, మాటల్లోనూ నిర్మోహమాటంగా తన అభిప్రాయాలు చెప్తారు. ీదేశం వెుత్తం మీదా గత పదేళ్లలో దాదాపు లక్ష మంది రైతులు ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకున్నారు. కానీ అందుకు కారణమైన ఒక్క అధికారికి కూడా కనీస శిక్షపడలేదు’ అన్న సాయినాథ్‌ మాటలు కఠినంగా అనిపించొచ్చుగానీ అవి అక్షర సత్యాలు.
గ్రామాల్లోనే…
గత 14 సంవత్సరాలుగా సాయినాథ్‌ ఎక్కువ కాలం గ్రామాల్లోనే గడిపారు. ఏడాదికి దాదాపు 250 నుంచి 270 రోజులు పల్లెల్లోనే తిరుగుతారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌, తమిళనాడు, ఒరిస్సా, మహారాష్ట్ర, బీహార్‌, ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్‌… ఇలా ఒకటికాదు రెండుకాదు, ఇన్నేళ్లల్లో ఆయన తిరిగిన దూరం దాదాపు 3లక్షల కిలోమీటర్లు. క్షేత్రపర్యటనలో ప్రజలు చెప్పేది ఓపిగ్గా వింటారు. వారి బాధల్ని ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూస్తారు. తాను రాసే విషయంలోగానీ అంకెల్లో గానీ ఎక్కడా పొరబాట్లు రాకుండా జాగ్రత్తపడతారు. కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు తీసుకునే విధాన నిర్ణయాలూ వాటిపై ప్రపంచ వాణిజ్య సంస్థ, ప్రపంచబ్యాంకు లాంటి సంస్థల ప్రభావాల గురించి లోతుగా అధ్యయనం చేసిన సాయినాథ్‌ ఒక సమస్యను భిన్నకోణాల్లో ఆలోచించి రాస్తారు. ఇన్ని మాటలెందుకు… పాలమూరు వలసలూ అనంతపురంలో రైతుల ఆత్మహత్యలూ అంతర్జాతీయ సమాజం దృష్టికి రావడానికి ఆయన రచనలే కారణం. వలస కూలీలుగా మారిన మహబూబ్‌నగర్‌ జిల్లా రైతులు 2000సంవత్సరంలో వారానికి ఒక బస్సులో ముంబాయి వెళ్లేవారు. 2004కి ఆ సంఖ్య 34బస్సులకు పెరిగింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని గుర్తించి ప్రపంచానికి చెప్పింది సాయినాథే. ఈ సమస్య తీవ్రతను తెలుసుకొనేందుకు వలసకూలీలతో కలిసి ఆయన బస్సులో ముంబయికి ప్రయాణం చేశారు. బస్సు డ్రైవరును కూడా వదలకుండా ప్రతి ఒక్కరితో మాట్లాడి కథనాలు రాశారు.
పాముకాటుతో రైతులు మరణించడానికీ ఆర్థిక సరళీకృత విధానాలకూ తీవ్రవాదానికీ సంబంధం ఉందంటే ఎవరూ నమ్మకపోవచ్చు. కానీ సాయినాథ్‌ పరిశోధనలో ఈ మూడింటికీ సంబంధం ఉందని తేలింది. తెల్లవారు జామున ఏ మూడింటికో కరెంటు ఇస్తోంది ప్రభుత్వం. వోటారు స్విచ్‌ వేయడానికి రాత్రిళ్లు పొలానికి వెళ్లిన రైతులు పాముకాటుకు గురైతే విరుగుడు మందు దొరకట్లేదు. పీపుల్స్‌వార్‌ నుంచి ఎల్టీటీఈ దాకా పాముకాటు మందును పెద్దఎత్తున కొనుగోలు చేసి నిల్వ ఉంచుకోవడమే దానికి కారణమని తేలింది. ఈ చేదునిజం గురించి 2001లో ఆయన రాసిన కథనం అంతర్జాతీయంగా ప్రచురితమైంది. ఇలా గ్రామీణుల దుర్భర జీవితాల్ని కళ్లకు కట్టడమే కాదు, ప్రభుత్వాల మెడలు వంచి పట్టించుకునేలా చేయడానికి ఆయన అహర్నిశలూ కృషిచేస్తున్నారు.

పూర్వీకులు ఆంధ్రులే అయినా సాయినాథ్‌ పుట్టిందీ పెరిగిందీ చెన్నైలో. మాజీరాష్ట్రపతి వి.వి.గిరి మనవడాయన(కూతురి కొడుకు). సాయినాథ్‌ తండ్రి పాలగుమ్మి సూర్యారావు కాకినాడ వాస్తవ్యులు. తాత జగన్మోహనరావు స్వాతంత్య్ర సమరయోధుడు. ఆ ప్రభావమేనేవో… అన్యాయాన్ని నిలదీసే దృక్పథం సాయినాథ్‌కు విద్యార్థిదశలోనే అలవడింది. ఢిల్లీలోని జవహర్‌లాల్‌ నెహ్రూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో రోమిల్లాథాపర్‌, కె.ఎన్‌.ఫణిక్కర్‌, సర్వేపల్లి గోపాల్‌, బిపిన్‌చంద్ర వంటి చరిత్రకారుల శిష్యరికం ఏ సమస్యనైనా భిన్నమైన కోణంలో చూసే అలవాటు నేర్పిందాయనకు. బలమైన వామపక్ష విద్యార్థి ఉద్యమానికి కేంద్రమైన జె.ఎన్‌.యు.లో చదువు ప్రగతిశీల భావాల వైపు వెుగ్గేలా చేసింది. అక్కడే హిస్టరీలో ఎమ్మే పూర్తిచేసుకొని యునైటెడ్‌ న్యూస్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియా(యు.ఎన్‌.ఐ.)లో చేరారు సాయినాథ్‌. వివిధ పత్రికలకు యు.ఎన్‌.ఐ. అందించిన వార్తల్లో ఎన్ని ప్రచురితమయ్యాయో లెక్కగట్టడం ఆయన పని. సెలెబ్రిటీల వార్తలకు ఇచ్చినంత ప్రాధాన్యం రైతులకూ ఇవ్వడంలేదనే విషయాన్ని సాయినాథ్‌ అప్పుడే గమనించారు. అదే సమయంలో… మనదేశంలోని 2,937 పాఠశాలల్లో అసలు ఉపాధ్యాయులే లేరంటూ ీనేషనల్‌ కౌన్సిల్‌ ఫర్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషనల్‌ రీసెర్చ్‌ అండ్‌ ట్రైనింగ్‌’ విడుదల చేసిన నివేదిక ఆయన జీవితదృక్పథాన్నే మార్చేసింది. ఆ రిపోర్టు ఆధారంగా ఆవేదనతో ఆయన రాసిన వ్యాసం దేశంలోని ప్రముఖ పత్రికల్లో పతాకశీర్షికయింది. జర్నలిజం పట్ల ఆయనకు మమకారం ఏర్పడటానికి అదే కారణమైంది. దాంతో బ్లిట్జ్‌ పత్రికలో చేరారు. ఇదంతా 1983 నాటి మాట. పదేళ్లపాటు అందులోనే పనిచేశారాయన. 1993లో బ్లిట్జ్‌ పత్రిక నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చి ఫ్రీలాన్స్‌ జర్నలిస్టుగా జీవితం ప్రారంభించారు. టైమ్స్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియా ఫెలోషిప్‌ కోసం జరిగిన ముఖాముఃలో… గ్రామీణ భారతం సమస్యల్ని వెలికితీయడంలో తన భవిష్యత్తు ప్రణాళిక గురించి వివరించినప్పుడు, ీదీనిపై మా పాఠకులకు ఆసక్తి ఉండదనుకుంటా’ అని ఓ బోర్డు సభ్యుడు అన్నాడు. ీవారి తరఫున మాట్లాడటానికి మీరు వాళ్లను ఆఖరిసారిగా ఎప్పుడు కలుసుకున్నారు’ అని ఘాటుగా సమాధానమిచ్చి మరీ ఫెలోషిప్‌కు ఎంపికయ్యారు. ీమీరు రాసిన అన్ని వ్యాసాలూ ప్రచురించలేం’ అన్న టైమ్స్‌ పత్రిక ఆ తర్వాత ఆయన రాసిన ఏ వ్యాసాన్నీ కాదనలేకపోయింది. అభివృద్ధి పేరుతో ప్రభుత్వ నిధుల్ని నాయకులే స్వాహాచేయడం, కరవు, పేదరికం… తదితర అంశాలతో రాసిన ఆ కథనాలే ీఎవ్రీబడీ లవ్స్‌ గుడ్‌ డ్రాట్‌’ పేరుతో పుస్తకంగా వచ్చాయి.అభివృద్ధి జర్నలిజం స్వరూపాన్నే మార్చేసిన సాయినాథ్‌ ఆ అంశంపై జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో విస్తృతమైన చర్చ జరిగేలా చేశారు. ఈ విషయంలో ప్రసార సాధనాలను విమర్శించడానికి కూడా ఆయన వెనుకడుగు వేయలేదు. ీముంబాయిలో లాక్మే ఫ్యాషన్‌షో జరిగితే అధిక సంఖ్యలో అక్రిడేటెడ్‌ జర్నలిస్టులు హాజరయ్యారు. జాతీయ పత్రికలు, టెలివిజన్‌ ఛానళ్లలో ప్రముఖంగా ప్రచారం ఇచ్చారు. కనీస వేతనాల కోసం లక్షల మంది వ్యవసాయ కూలీలు ఢిల్లీలో ఆందోళన చేస్తే ఎవరూ పట్టించుకోలేదు’ అంటూ నిశితంగా విమర్శించారు. భారతదేశంలోని పత్రికలు పైనున్న ఐదుశాతం మంది గురించి పట్టించుకుంటే, తాను కింది నుంచి ఐదుశాతం మంది కోసం రాస్తానని బహిరంగంగానే ప్రకటించారు. ప్రతి జర్నలిస్టు ఫొటోగ్రాఫర్‌ అయి ఉండాలనే సాయినాథ్‌ , గ్రామీణ భారతంలో మహిళల వెతలను చిత్రీకరించారు. వివిధ రాష్ట్రాల్లో గ్రామీణ పేద మహిళల గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా ఫోటో ఎగ్జిబిషన్‌ రూపొందించారు.
ఓ గిరిజన మహిళ. చెరువు దగ్గర నుంచొని కొంతమేర చీరను ఒంటికి చుట్టుకొని మిగిలిన భాగాన్ని ఉతుక్కుంటోంది. ఒరిస్సాలోని మల్కనగిరి జిల్లాలో నాకు కనిపించిన దృశ్యమిది. అలాగే… బీహార్‌లోని గొడ్డా జిల్లా లాల్మతియా గ్రామంలో ఓ వ్యక్తి మూడు బొగ్గుమూటల్ని సైకిల్‌మీద పెట్టుకొని అతి కష్టంగా లాక్కుని వెళ్తున్నాడు. మూడు క్వింటాళ్ల బరువుంటాయవి. అతనికి సాయం చేద్దామని ఐదునిమిషాలు తోయగానే అలసిపోయాన్నేను. కానీ అదే బరువుతో రోజూ 40కి.మీ. దూరం ప్రయాణించి వాటిని అమ్ముకుంటాడు అతను. అందుకు ముట్టే ప్రతిఫలం రూ.10. ఆ ప్రాంతంలో దాదాపు మూడువేల మందికి అదే ఆధారం’ అని చెబుతారు సాయినాథ్‌. వినడానికే గుండెలు తరుక్కుపోయే ఇలాంటి ఎన్నో దృశ్యాలను చూశారాయన. ఆ ఆవేదన నుంచి పుట్టిన ఆవేశం, పదును ఆ కలంలో కనిపిస్తాయంటే ఆశ్చర్యమేముందిక!

కృష్ణాష్టమి సందడేదీ?

చిన్నప్పుడు కృష్ణాష్టమి వస్తుందంటే చాలు అంతా హడావిడిగా వుండేది.పది పదిహేను రోజులముందునుంచే తయారు అయ్యేవాళ్లం.ఒక రేకు అమూల్ డబ్బా తీసుకుని దాని మూతకి చిల్లు పెట్టి దాన్ని తీసుకుని చందాలు పోగుచెయ్యటానికి రోడ్డు మీద పడేవాళ్లం.రోడ్డు మీద వెళ్ళే వాళ్లని బలవంతంగా ఆపి వాళ్ల దగ్గర డబ్బులు గుంజేవాళ్లం. సైకిల్ మీద వెళ్లే వాళ్ల వెంటపడి విసిగించి మరి చందా వసూల్ చేసి మొత్తనికి డబ్బు పోగుచేసేవాళ్లం.రెండు రోజులముందు ప్రసాదాలకి కావలిసిన సరుకులు తెచ్చి ఎవరోఒకళ్ల ఇంట్లొ ఆ పని అప్పగించేవాళ్ళం.ఇక పండగ రోజు ఉట్టి కొట్టే సన్నివేశం భలేగుండేది.ఉట్టిలొ పెరుగు,డబ్బులు అవి వేసి పైన కట్టి లాగుతుంటే దానిని కొట్ట్డానికి ఎగబడేవాళ్లం.ఎవరు పగలకొడితే వాళ్లే హీరొ.అది పగిలాకా డబ్బులు ఎరుకోవటనికి పెద్ద గొడవ.ఆ డబ్బులు వాడకూడదు అని చెబితే దేవుని దగ్గర హుండిలొ వేసేసి ప్రసాదాలకోసం కొట్లాట.అప్పట్లో చానల్స్ వుండేవి కాదు కాబట్టి సినిమాలంటే పిచ్చి .ఒకరు ఇద్దరు ఇంట్లొ టివి వుండేది.వాళ్ళని బతిమాలి బామాలి ఒప్పించి వీడియొ ప్లేయర్లు,కేసెట్లు తెచ్చి రాత్రంతా సినిమాలు చూస్తూ జాగారం.అలా సరదాగ గదిచిపొయేది. ఇప్పుడు పండగ లేదు పబ్బం లేదు.రోజులు యాంత్రికంగా గడిచిపోతున్నాయి.

రసపట్టులో తర్కం ఎందుకు కూడదు?

ఇంట గెలిచి రచ్చగెలవాలంటారు పెద్దలు. కాని, కవులు, రచయితలు రచ్చగెలచినా, గెలవకపోయినా ఇంట్లో మాత్రం వాళ్ళని ఎవరూ పట్టించుకోరు. వాళ్ళ రాతలని ఇంట్లో ఎవరూ చదవరు, కనీసం కన్నెత్తి చూడను కూడా చూడరు. మా ఇంట్లోనూ అంతే.“పోనీ కవితలు వద్దులే, కనీసం వ్యాసాలైనా చదవరాదూ ఓ సారి” అని ఎన్నోసార్లు ప్రాధేయపడ్డాను.“మరో సారి చూద్దాంలే, నేనిప్పుడు చాలా బిజి”పట్టువదలని విక్రమార్కుడు మరోసారి, ఇంకోసారి, వందోసారి కూడా ప్రయత్నించేడు. ఫలితం శూన్యం.సిరిసిరిమువ్వగారి బ్లాగులో ఆదివారం ఆడవాళ్ళకి సెలవు టపా చదివేక, ట్యూబులైటు వెలిగింది.“పోని, ఈరోజు వంట నేను చేస్తాను కాని, నువ్వు నే రాసిన వ్యాసాలు చదువు – ఎన్నోలేవు, నాలుగే”అప్పుడు దిగొచ్చింది కాంతామణి.“అలాక్కాదుగాని, మీరు చదివి వినిపించండి, నేను వింటాను” అంటూ సోఫాలో బాసింపట్టేసుకొని కూచొంది.అదే మహాప్రసాదం.ధాటీగా, ఉదాత్త అనుదాత్త స్వరాలతో, హావ భావాలు ఉట్టిపడేలా చదివి వినిపించేను.
“బావుంది, ప్రశ్నలేవేన్నా అడగొచ్చా… ఎన్నోకాదులే, ఒక్కటే”ఆవిడ కళ్ళలో మెరుపు చూసి నాకు గుండెలో దడ పుట్టింది. ఆవిడ మేథమెటిక్స్ ఒలింపియాడ్‌లో ద్వితీయ బహుమతి గెలుచుకొంది, లాజిక్కులు, తర్కాలు లాటివి అక్కడ చెల్లవు – డొక్క చించి డోలు కట్టెస్తుంది.మేకపోతు గాంభీర్యంతో “దానికేం, అడుగు – ఏమిటి సందేహం?”“ఇంత పెద్ద వ్యాసం రాసేరు కదా, ఇంతకీ రసం అంటే ఏమిటండీ?”ఇల్లాలా, తేనెపూసిన కత్తా?“ఓ, అదా… మెదట్లో రసాలు ఎనిమిది, తర్వాత ఎవరో దానికొకటి చేర్చి మెత్తం తొమ్మిది అన్నారు, మరికొంత మంది లాక్షిణికుల ప్రకారం పదమూడు. అవేంటంటే - శృంగారం, వీర్యం, భయానకం…….”“నేనడిగింది లెక్కలు, పేర్లు కాదు, రసం అంటే ఏమిటో చెప్దురూ ముందు” నేనింకా ముగించకముందే అడ్డుకొంది.“రసం అంటే… అంటే ఏముందీ… రసం అంటే. జ్యూసు, ఎసెన్సు, ఫండమెంటల్ క్వాలిటీ, ఎట్రిబ్యూటు, ఒక అంశ, లక్షణం, ప్రస్పుటమైన భావప్రకటన…” ఇంకా ఏదో వాగుతూనే ఉన్నాను.“పిల్లి అంటే మార్జాలం, ఎలక అంటే మూషికం, కుక్క అంటే శునకం… మరో మాట చెబ్దురూ” నా పిలక దొరికింది అని అర్ధం అయిపోయింది కాబట్టి, మెహం చింకిచాటంత చేసుకొని నవ్వుతూనే అడిగింది.
లాజిక్కుతో గెలవలేకపోతే, రెఠోరిక్‌తో ఆత్మరక్షణ చేసుకోవటంలో తప్పులేదు.“సరే, నే చెప్పేది నీకర్ధం కావట్లేదు. నువ్వు లెక్కల్లో క్వీనువి కదా, మూడు అంటే ఏమిటో నువ్వు చెప్పు, నువ్వు చెప్పిన పద్ధతిననుసరించే నేనప్పుడు రసమంటే ఏమిటో చెప్తాను, అప్పటికైనా నీ కర్ధమవుతుందేమో” అని చక్రం అడ్డేసా.“ఓస్ అంతేనా, ఒకటికి ఒకటి కలిపితే రెండు, రెండుకి ఒకటి కలిపితే మూడు. ఇంకా…”ఓడలు బళ్ళైతే, బళ్ళు ఓడలవుతాయి. ఇప్పుడు అవకాశం మనది.అవిడ మాట పూర్తికాకముందే నేనందుకొని “ర పక్కన స పెడితే రస, స కి సున్నా పెడితే రసం” అని చావుతప్పి, కన్ను లొట్టపోయి అప్పటికెలాగో తప్పించుకొన్నాను.రానే వచ్చింది ఆవిడక్కోపం.అందుకే రసపట్టులో తర్కం కూడదు.****
ప్రపంచంలో అన్నిటిని నిర్వచించటానికి వీలుపడదు. ఎందుకంటే, అన్ని విషయాలు బుద్ధికి (కాగ్నిషన్)కి సంబంధించినవి కావు గదా? బుద్ధికి, వివేచనకి, తర్కానికి అతీతమైనవి మానవుని మనోవ్యాపారలలో చాలా ఉన్నాయి. అంతఃప్రభోధం (ఇంట్యూషన్), చిత్తం, అహం లాటివి కూడా ఉన్నాయి కదా? సృజనాత్మకత అనేది హేతుబద్ధమైన బుద్ధియొక్క సహాయం తీసుకొన్నప్పటికీ, దానికతీతంగానే ఉంటుందెప్పుడూ. కళలన్నీ సృజనాత్మకతమీద ఆధారపడినవే కదా? సౌందర్యం, ఆనందం, అహ్లాదం, కోపం, విషాదం లాటి అనుభూతులు కూడా కేవలం బుద్ధితోను, తర్కంతోనూ అవగాహన చేసుకోలేం.
వింటున్నాం కదా అని చెవులో పువ్వులు పెట్టకు సారు, బుద్ధికి అతీతంగా ఏదైనా ఎలా ఉంటుంది అంటారా? ఒకటి రెండు ఉదాహరణలు పరిశీలిద్దాం:
ఒక్కోసారి ఒక లెక్కచెయ్యడానికో, ఏదైనా సమస్యకి పరిష్కారం కనుక్కోడానికో బుర్రబద్దలు కొట్టుకొంటాం, ఎంత ప్రయత్నించినా అది తేలదు – పది రోజులు పట్టొచ్చు, పదిహేను రోజులు పట్టొచ్చు, ఒక్కోసారైతే కొన్ని సంవత్సరాలైనా పట్టొచ్చు. ఉన్నట్టుండి, ఓ రోజు ఉదయం నిద్రలేవగానే – హటాత్తుగా పరిష్కారం దానంతటదే స్పురిస్తుంది. ఇది చాలా మందికి అనుభవమే.
అలాగే, ఒక్కోసారి – ఎంతోకాలం నుంచి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నా అవగతం కాని సంగతులు, ఒక్క క్షణంలో మెరుపులా ఏదో మెరసినట్టై మెత్తం అంతా మంచు విడినట్టు, క్లిష్టతంతా విడిపోయి, అద్దంలో మెహం చూసుకొన్నంతా స్పష్టంగా అర్ధమయిపోతాయి. ఇదికూడా సుమారుగా అందరికీ విదితమే.
మాటలు నేర్చి, ఓ రెండు డిగ్రీలు చేతబట్టుకొన్న తర్వాత అన్నీ బుద్ధితో పరిష్కరించుకోవచ్చు అనిపిస్తుంది గాని, నిజానికి, చిన్నప్పుడు – మనకి భాషరానప్పుడు, మనం ప్రపంచాన్ని ఎలా అవగతం చేసుకొంటాం? భాష ఎలా నేర్చుకొంటాం? అందరికీ, పుట్టినప్పుడే, లాజిక్ సూత్రాలన్నీ తెలియవు గదా?
కళలన్నీ, ముఖ్యంగా కవిత్వం తర్కానికి అతీతంగా ఉంటుంది. మనం అలవాటు పడ్డ సరళరేఖలాటి తర్కం నుంచి మనల్ని బయటకి పడేయడంలోనే కవిత్వంలోని అసలు పరమార్ధమంతా ఉంది. తార్కిక శృంఖలాలనుంచి బయటకి లాగటం ద్వారా, ఒక్కసారిగా మనకెంతో భావ ప్రపంచాన్ని – ఒక రసగుళికగా మార్చి మనకందుబాటులోకి తేగలిగేదే అసలైన కవిత్వం – నా ఉద్దేశ్యంలో. దీనికోసం మెటాఫర్లనో, భావ చిత్రణలనో, మరేవో సాధనాలనో ఉపయోగిస్తాడు కళాకారుడు. అందుకే కవిత్వం అర్ధం కాదని చాల మంది గొడవ పెడతారు.
ఈ మధ్య, చావాకిరణ్ గారు ఆంగ్లంలో ఓ కవిత రాసేరు. అందులో, ఒక పాదంలో “ది కాఫిన్ హాస్ టు బి బాట్ అవుట్” అనుంటుంది. దానికి కొత్తపాళీగారు “అప్పుతచ్చు దొర్లినట్టుంది సార్ – బ్రాటవుట్ అనుండాలి కదా” అన్నారు.ఇది తర్కం. దానికేం సమాధానం చెప్తారు?“అవునండి, అప్పుతచ్చే, చూపినందుకు ధన్యవాదాలు” అంటూ కిరణ్ గారు చల్లగా తప్పుకొన్నారు.కాని ఆ తప్పు దిద్దలేదు.ఇంతకీ అది “బాట్ అవుటా”, లేక “బ్రాటవుటా”?ఏమో, వివరించాలంటే ఓ పదిపేజీలు పట్టొచ్చు. పదిపేజీల వ్యాసం రాయకూడదనే కదా, ఒక మాటలో కవితగా చెప్పేది?ఆ ఒక్క మాట అర్ధం అవుతే, వంద పేజీల తర్కంతో చెప్పలేనిది అవగతమౌతుంది, ఒక్క క్షణంలో.లేకపోతే, ఎంత చెప్పినా ఏమీ అర్ధం గాదు.
అలాగే, నేను చెప్పిన కపాలమోక్షంలో, “నీడనివ్వని నిటారు చెట్టు, వనదేవత వడిలో ఒరిగితే” అని రాస్తే, ఒడి అనుండాలి కదండీ, వడి అని తప్పురాసేరు అన్నారు చాలామంది. ప్రజాభిప్రాయానికి తలొగ్గొడమా? లేక వివరణలు ఇచ్చుకోవాలా?
ఇప్పుడిన్ని ప్రశ్నలడిగేవాళ్లందరూ, చిన్నప్పుడు అమ్మ “కాళ్ళాగజ్జీ కంకాళమ్మా, వెలుగూ చుక్కా వేగూమొగ్గా” అని పాడుతూ ఉంటే, తలలూపేరెందుకో? అసలీ కంకాళమ్మ ఎవరు, వేగు చుక్కేంటి అని ప్రశ్నలెందుకు సంధించలేదో? అప్పుడవసరం లేని ఎనాలిసిస్ ఇప్పుడెందుకు?
ఇది ఒక సమస్య. ఇలాటి సమస్యే తత్వాశాస్త్రాలలోనూ ఉంది. ప్రపంచంలోని మెత్తం తత్వ సిద్ధాంతాలన్నిటినీ రెండుగా విడగొడితే, బుద్ధి, వివేచనకి, తర్కం, తార్కిక నిరూపణలకి పెద్దపీటవేసిన సిద్ధాంతాలు ఒక వర్గమైతే, అనుభవం, అంతఃప్రభోధం, చిత్తప్రవృత్తి, అహంకారం, అంతఃచేతన (సబ్‌కాన్షస్)లాటి వాటికి పెద్దపీట వేసిన సిద్ధాంతాలు మిగిలినవి.
సౌలభ్యంకోసం పాశ్చాత్య తత్వశాస్త్రం ముఖ్యంగా బుద్ధి, వివేచనలకి సంబంధించినదిగాను, ప్రాచ్య సంస్కృతల తత్వసిద్ధాంతాలు అనుభవానికి సంబంధించినవిగాను చెప్పుకొన్నప్పటికీ, ఇటు మన తాత్వికులలోనూ తార్కికులు, నాస్తికులూ ఉన్నారు – హేతుబద్దమైన, సైద్ధాంతికపరమైన నిరూపణలని ప్రతిపాదించిన వాళ్ళు ఇక్కడ ఉంటే, అనుభవం, అహంకారం, అంతఃచేతనని విచారించిన వాళ్ళు పాశ్చాత్యలలోనూ ఉన్నారు.
పాశ్చాత్య తాత్వికులు ఎక్కువగా – మానవుని బుద్ది, విచారం, వివేచన ఎలా పనిచేస్తాయనే విషయం మీదనే ప్రధానంగా తమ దృష్టిని కేంద్రీకరించేరని చెప్పవచ్చోమో. ప్రాచ్య సంస్కృతులతో పోలిస్తే – పాశ్చాత్య తాత్విక సంస్కృతి ఎక్కువగా - ఈ మధ్యకాలంవరకూ - బుద్ధికి అతీతంగా ఉండే మిగతా మనో వ్యాపారలని – అంతఃప్రభోదం, భావోద్వేగాలు, చిత్తప్రవృత్తి, అహంకారం మెదలైన చేతనావస్థలని అంత లోతుగా పట్టించుకోలేదు. ఒక రకంగా దీనికి కారణం అరిస్టాటిలు. సోక్రటీసు ప్రారంభించిన ‘డయలెక్టికల్’ పద్దతిని, పూర్తి స్థాయి విశ్లేషణగా రూపొందించేడు అరిస్టాటిల్. ఆ తర్వాత కాలంలో, డేకార్త్ పుణ్యమా అని హేతువాదం (రేషనలిజం, రీజన్, లాజిక్), తార్కిక పద్దతులు వేళ్ళూనిన తర్వాత, విజ్ఞానం శాఖోపశాఖలుగా చీలిపోయింది.
తత్వశాస్త్రంలో వర్గీకరణకి చాలా ప్రాధాన్యత ఉంది. విభజించి పాలించు అనే ఒక మౌలిక సూత్రం ఉంది కదా? విచారించ దలచుకొన్న విషయాన్ని ముందు వర్గీకరించుకోవాలి. అంటే, దాన్ని, చిన్న చిన్న ముక్కలుగా విడగొట్టాలి. ఇలా విడగొట్టడానికి ప్రతి తాత్వికుడి దగ్గరా ఒక పదునైన కత్తి ఉంటుంది – దానిపేరు విశ్లేషణ. ఆ కత్తితో మొత్తం, ప్రపంచాన్ని, సృష్టిని ముందు రెండు ముక్కలు చేస్తాడు. ప్రతి ఫిలాసఫరు చేసేపనిదే. మనిషి, ప్రపంచం అని రెండుముక్కలు చెయ్యొచ్చు. నేను, నేను కానిది అని రెండు ముక్కలు చెయ్యొచ్చు. లేకపోతే, బుద్ది, అనుభూతి అని రెండుముక్కలు చెయ్యొచ్చు. ఇంద్రియగోచరమయ్యేది, కానిది అని ముక్కలు చేసుకోవచ్చు. ఇలా మనకెలా కావాలంటే, అలా ఈ అనంతమైన విశ్వాన్ని ముక్కలు, ముక్కలుగా నరికేసుకోవచ్చు.

వియత్నాం లో కొన్ని తెగల వారు, జపాన్ లో హోదా ఉన్నవారు (ముఖ్యంగా ఆడవారు) కొన్ని దశాబ్దాల క్రితం వరకూ దంతాలని నేరేడు పళ్ళ రంగులో నిగనిగ లాడంచేవారనే సంగతి నాకు నిన్న బాల్టిమోరులో ఉన్న దంతవైద్య ప్రదర్శనశాలకి వెళ్ళాకే తెలిసింది. ఈ విషయం మీదే ఒక చిన్న హాస్యోక్తి ఉందిట. వియత్నాంలో జరుగుతున్న ఒక వేడుకలో ఒకానొక ఫ్రెంచి వైద్యుడు ఒక స్ధానిక అధికారితో సంభాషిస్తూ అక్కడే ఆడుతున్న ఫ్రెంచి ఆడవారి అందచందాల గురించి అభిప్రాయం అడిగాడట. అప్పుడా అధికారి పెదవి విరిచి "అంతా బానే ఉంది కానీ వాళ్ళ పళ్ళే కుక్కల పళ్ళలా తెల్లగా ఉన్నాయి" అన్నాడట. పళ్ల విషయం అటుంచితే ఫ్రెంచి వైద్యుడి మొహం మాత్రం తెల్లబోయే ఉంటుంది.

ఈ మధ్యకాలంలో ఇటువంటి పధ్దతులని దాదాపు అందరూ కాలదన్నారు కానీ దంత వైద్యుల పరిశోధన వల్ల వెల్లడైనదేమిటంటే నల్లరంగు పులుముకోవడంవల్ల నోట వెలసేది చిన్న బొగ్గుగనే ఐనప్పటికీ - కనీసం ఇరవై ఏళ్ళు వరకూ చెక్కుచెదరని ఈ రంగుల వల్ల పళ్ళకి క్రిముల బాధ ఉండదని.

Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to launch his 24/7 Telugu news tv in February after the launch of Saakshi on Jan 1st. He got the licence for the channel itv last month. Previously he planned to setup his studios in Rd.2 Banjarahills building but now he changed the address to Rd.1, saakshi office where he is preparing three floors on the top of newspaper office. He asked his men to target the key people in etv, tv9, Maa and Ntv. Narender tv (NTV) was planned when Shabbir was I&PR minister. Narender Choudhary, a taxi driver with a shady past from Khammam wanted to become strong with this channel. Shabbir, a close associate of Narender tells his friends that the idea of the channel was his brain child and he has majority stake in it. Who said a minister can't own a news channel? In democracy all are equal. But the problem started when Jagan cameup with the channel idea. Jagan's men have started the hunt for tv professionals. A new 24/7 Telugu news channel under Raj tv network will be launched in October. Launch is set on the eve of Dasara. Aakiri Ramakrishna rao, ex-All India Radio news editor will head the channel. Rajtv is presently operating an entertainment channel in telugu-Vissa. With Raj news the number of aspirants to launch new Telugu news channels has reached nine.

Media ignoring PowerStar's first marraige issue

PavanKalyan’s second marraige with actress Renu Desai is a known secret upto somedays back. But it’s became official as they are coming together for functions posing to camera. Pavan and Renu’s marraige is again on news which turned as hot subject as Pavan’s first wife Nandini now approached to the court of law for justice.

This news is the headline for entire press on that day. Many people watching news channels and news papers intrestingly from that day about the reactions of Megastar Chiranjivi’s family. Day’s are passing but there is no news about their reply or clarification.

TV news channel persons who will go into anyone’s house as a right even by breaking privacy, kept quite. News papers which write Ton’s of views, investigations more over their personal feelings about person’s who are in news also limited to publish only about their trails for compromise. So far, including sensational news channels or largest circulated news papers failed to get a interview from Chiranjivi or Pavan or Pavan’s first wife Nandini or Nandini’s family members who were residing in the prime areas of the Hyderabad and Vizag cities (They are very much in their own houses only).

Chiranjivi family might have managed TV channels (Megastar got shares in MAA TV, He is the chief guest for inagural cermonies of TV9, Zee TV etc.,) using his contacts. Coming to news papers same is the influence. As a non controvarsial person media got regards to Chiranjivi. Even Chiranjivi not made any pressure to underplay Pavan’s marraige issue, the managements would feel sympathy on Chiranjivi.

Media persons are planting stories that both families are ready to compromise (Almost compromised). May be our news people also looking for this compromise. Beleive us some are trying for this.

No news items were published or telecasted about- how a 15 year minority girl age was maniplated as 18 on records and got married in the presence of responsble persons like Chiranjivi and others.

Can’t any one find her age from school certificates? or from medical tests? Will police can do it? or they also be presurised by this VIP’s- like our news people. If both families are compromised for some social reasons or financial reasons, will court admit all the scene created for some benefits? and ignore the above said age factor? Hope some intellectual persons will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) if they compromise.

Good move on VUDA

Thank God, Vizag Media slowly recouping some courage to write on the Visakhaptnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA). After a long time one major item appeared against VUDA in EENADU about the sale of Yarada hills through auction. This decision was made by Chairman and Vice Chairman to please the Chief Minister to get themselves benefited more in future. Don't think Yarada hills sale is the only adverse decision taken by them after they hold the power. {No criticism on our media friends that 'why they had not lighten them to the public earlier'.} May be several pressures and obligations. We are happy even now they are dare enough to write about the facts going in the VUDA.

Before Venkataramireddy taking charge as Vice Chairman press acted like a watch dog on the adverse decisions made by VUDA. The then Vice Chairman's made a note about media everytime; saying -'press is watching, be careful about this decision which had taken against the rule'. Press also enjoyed to question and criticise on the face of that VC's directly about those decisions. Dasari Srinivasulu, VaraPrasad.. went on same lines. They supposed to announce new proposals and invite the press opinion. Even those officers tried to be friendly with media by offering some benefits, but they experienced regular hard hitting stories on their one sided decisions. Now scene had completely changed Venkataramireddy's interview for a common media person is not easy to get like the then VC's. Press people are treated as the persons who are coming to get their personal favours. Pressmeets are arranged as a eye washing.

Intrestingly no media friend is now raising his voice against the controversial decisions taken by VUDA in these press conferences. Before Venkataramireddy period lot of items published in AndhraJyothi. Now Jyothi people are trying to continue with smaller issues but not of earlier standards. Any how good attempt going on. Coming to EENADU, no major item published against VUDA in last one to one and half years. At one stage informer's- who eye on the VUDA activities decided that EENADU is pro V.C, there is no use to feed them the news.

What ever may be the reasons to under play the VUDA news items earlier, EENADU now started it's voice on VUDA unethical decisions. May be because of anti Government stand or clashes with VC..?? we don't go deep into this internal issue. EENADU now started it's stand on public side, regarding VUDA. Yarada news item is a jerk to Chairman Ravi and Vice Chairman Venkataramireddy. This type of items are expected by the people from media. Public are vexed with the arrogant attitute of VUDA authorities and employees. It's our responsibility to watch and tell to the public through our publication. Attempt made by EENADU is appreciated one's again. (Because for firsttime major news is published in recent past). Please Continue this effort. Other friends who are highlighting the bad decisions on VUDA appreciated too.

Finally friends, with the Yarada item effect VUDA may be serious on entire media and create problems in development of the 14 acres site alloted by Government. Take care.

Always small figures for Vizag media

Media also becoming good employement source with the flood of TV Channels and News papers. If we go one or two decades back, the scope of employement in journalism is very less. Limited news papers.. very limited opportunities. To become a staff reporter/ subeditor/ photographer in these papers is great task. But now unlike other sectors journalism also reached a position which one can choose for career employement.

Seniority became key factor of gaining good hike in salary. In 2003- 2004 a person working in Hyderabad Telugu paper got 15,000/- to 20,000/- doubled now, because of the new channels and papers flow. No media analyst anticipated this much of salary hike, huge opportunities in a span of 2 to 3 years.

Vizag is next to Hyderabad. Vizag media persons who are in reporting incharge postions in telugu papers getting less than 12,000/-. Satellite channel staff reporters are offered only 5,000/- to 6,000/- only. Incharge positions are drawing 12,000/-+. We can observe the disparity compared with Hyderabad. Not even 50% salaries are not offered by the managements coming to Vizag. Isn't it?

Jagan newspaper 'Saakshi' which is going to launch in January offered 35,000+ for a regional reporting incharge. 'Surya' people offering in the same range for their Hyderabad staff. But they are bargaining when coming to the regional centers like Vizag. Vizag media must realise that they got potentiality of getting 35,000+ for position like reporting incharge and around 20,000/-+ for staff reporters/ subeditors.

Friends even from now, go for big figures while joining in new papers and channels like 'Saakshi', 'Surya', 'ITV' etc., Don't expect this much from tv5, NTV, MAA TV, Zee Telugu, Vissa, Mana Telugu.. there range won't cross 6,000/-. Vizag media must rise to the occassion. Show the real value of media manpower to new channels which are financially strong. Managements are not dare enough to import their vizag staff from elsewhere for new assignment. So who are in trails for new papers and channels tune your minds in this range.

There is tremondous requirement of manpower in media. Eenadu is training people through their journalism school according to their requirements. AndhraJyothi, Vaartha people are lagging in this aspect even though running their own schools. Channels like tv9 experiencing lot of manpower shortfall. AndhraJyothi TV, Andhra TV etc., are on the way. There will be further requirement and ball will be in media people court.

Mediaism- Mark of personal benefit

Some of the Vizag media persons who roam all the time around collectorate are enjoying their personal and management works to be done directly with the district collector. Collector himself had given this type of chance in the name of "Media Interaction". Most of the media people even don't know about this interaction and are not aware of this attendance benefit.

Every Monday there will be a media Interaction with district collector between 12.30 to 1. Collector will brief the major developments and progress of Government programs in this meet. Interaction will be one sided and information will be feeded by collector. By and Large there will be no questions from our media friends. Don't think that all important media will attend to this briefing.

Collectorate kings group consists of a half a dozen reporters. Jayamuni (Vaartha), Ratnam (Andhra Jyothi), Narayana (Visakha Samacharam), Kulapathi (Prajasakthi- now shifted to Surya), Kirla Venkat (Andhra Prabha), Bantayya (Andhra Voice) will be the regular attendants for this interaction. Eenadu is no exception. These people will patiently hear the speech of collector, going on praising without any hesitation. They will be wild even in CM's press conferences interupting CM speech by questioning most local issues of their knowledge.

Don't admire why they won't distrub collector speech in Media interaction session when they are not sparing CM and Ministers. There is a strong reason. After completion of collector briefing these people will spend another 15 minutes at collector for their personal works. These works may be in favour of their self or to their organisation. Mostly related to "Pairavi".

Collector is also very liberal in this context. He think that these people play key role in the news papers. The above said reporters may ignore PM, CM program, but will be present 100% to the collector media interaction only to say that they are all mighty for their news papers in the editorial level. Watching there faces regularly Collector also unable to say no for their personal pairavi's.

Many people including political leaders know this matter of fact and endorse cases to these media friends as far as Collectorate is concerned. Jayamuni, Ratnam, Narayana, Kulapathi, Venkat will take up any type of pairavi case related to collectorate on cash down basis. They formed as a group and will cooperate each other in solving critical works on amount sharing. Officers also liberal by seeing this group who come jointly with bunch of recommendations.

If any district officer is rigid in perusing these recommendations, series of news items against him or his office will appear in Vaartha, Andhra jyothi, Andhra Prabha etc., simultaneously, which people also think as facts. Kirla Venkat claiming that he is the person behind for ACB raid on Housing District Manager Satyanarayana, as Satyanarayana failed to fulfill his demands. He is threatening engineers of housing with this campaigning and collecting mamools from them.

Officers must know these facts and be conscious in accepting their recommendations. some sought of liberalisation for media is continuing from past. But brokarism for personal benefit increased in Vizag because of this type of reporters.

My dear collectorate media friends, be like good journalists. If not with 100% genuinely. Try to be even 10%. Don't give speeches that you're the only persons fighting for downtrodden. We are watching you. If you commit mistakes for your personal benefit. Entire episode will be on our screen.

Sports media election games

Vizag sport's journalists association lagging sportive spirit in conducting it's elections from the inception. Present office bearers want to continue in their posts as long as they can, in view of their self interests. They are very much worried about their identity as president, secretary and avoiding elections.

Some of the sports journalists in Vizag feel that they are above all and want a separate identity in Vizag Journalist Forum (VJF). They formed Vizag sport's journalists association. NageswaraRao (Andhra Prabha), NarasimhaRao (The Hindu) declared themselves as President and secretary at that time. They sticked to their posts from years and not willing to loose them in the name of elections.

These two fellows create a impression that they are almighty of Vizag sports journalists. Sports association's also in that opinion only. Organisers of International, National and Regional events must distribute Press passes and other passes according to NageswaraRao and NarasimhaRao guidelines. If any deviation takes place these two Rao's will threat them that all sports journalists will boycott the event.

There will be no preference to the Press passes distribution based on the circulation of the news papers. For example Eenadu, AndhraJyothi, Vaartha like major newspapers will give extensive coverage for major sports events. But Rao's order the organisers to distribute them equally for both largest circulated papers and least read papers (There are weeklies, monthlies who raise their voice for passes. Some of them never appear to us).

Same story will be repeated even in international cricket matches also. Wearing Sports Journalist Association President and Secretary masks these two fellows will get the honours from organisers while leading paper reporters remain unidentified. NageswaraRao and NarasimhaRao who tasted this power are not ready to leave their posts. Recently they had allotted a room for their office activities in VJF Seethammadhara building.

Sports reporters like Mani (Vaartha) and others (most of the regional paper sports journalists are stringers) are insisting Rao's to conduct election for the association. But Rao's are trying to convince other reporters to avoid elections. NageswaraRao and NarasimhaRao are loosing their identity day by day in their colleague sports journalists with their rigid attitude towards elections.

If this is the scene in an association other than journalists it may be in news papers. Why journalists must be spared even they are doing the same. That is why this episode is on our screen. What Mr. Rao's will you get ready for elections???

'Power Full' Journalists

Vizag journalists became power hungers. They are in need of their union posts to complete their works with officers. Don't admire that 'is it true?' - Here is the real face of the Vizag journalists. Do you know who are leading these associations and unions? "Journalists working in local and less readable news papers and the papers which never seen and never heard." Wearing this posts as masks they will get their works done successfully. Officers also think that these are the people who control entire Vizag journalists.

Vizag journalists forming number of unions for their personal benefits. With these unions Vizag journalists number became less than the unions claiming subscriptions. Because one person is member in more than two unions. Like Sports journalists association, which we discussed earlier there are certain unions like Crime, Electronic media, Small papers and area wise associations.

There are state wide associations like Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists union (APWJU), Journalists Association of Andhra Pradesh (JAAP). These unions are not much active in Vizag half a decade back. Some of the senior journalists formed a comprehensive union on the name "Vizag Journalists Forum" (VJF) and raised the funds in a big way. It had acquired one office space at Dabagardens and three floored building in Seethammadhara (Opposite to RytuBazar).

VJF will have direct elections for every two years. Members number in this Forum is also higher than the journalists who are working on ground. Eenadu people keep distance not only with VJF and also to other unions. Persons who failed to get post in VJF slowly moved to JAAP, APWJU etc., Automatically these unions also gained satisfactory strength. Members in VJF are also members in other unions for posts.

Journalists who can't get posts in unions are worried and recently started a state wide union on the name of "Young Journalists Association of India". Even though there is no recognition for this union people suffering from lack of posts joined. But by their nature, quarrel began for the posts and are now ready to fight. Paper less and Channel less journalists are supporters for this association.

Settlement media group formed a separate union to workout their influence at Commissioner of Police and other Police officers on the name of "Crime Reporters Association". Known settlement reporter DurgaRao (Vision) who is chemcha for VJF President ShivaSankar declared himself as president for this union. Police station settlement reporters like Satyanarayana, EswaraRao, Ravi, Nani are members in this union. Ramesh who had thrown out from TV9 for his mischief, bluffing that he joined NTV (Prasad who worked earlier in MAA TV appointed as reporter for NTV) is treasurer for this crime association.

As police commissioner changed recently these people want to approach him on the name of "Crime Reporters Association" and done their works. You can find these people waiting at commissionorate or police stations for settlements. Basing on the relation with C.P. they will put pressure on ACP's, CI's and SI's. If CP recognise this union crime reporters work will become easy.

Coming to the electronic media association. Journalists working in TV channels want their share in union activities, which not accepted by the existing news paper based unions. So, they started Electronic Media Journalists Association at the time of assembly elections and worked out their purpose. This association is lead by local cable channel reporter BabuRao and Satellite channels reporters don't want to continue in the association thinking that BabuRao increasing influence on this brand name. Satellite channel reporters started Vizag Electronic Media Association (VEMA) separately. Now there are only two persons (Zee TV reporter RamachandraRao, Dooradarshan reporter Anand) left in this union.

These people are making money on name of union activities. There is no personal identification on the name of news paper or channel to these persons. So they selected the easy route of forming associations and introducing them as President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Member etc., You can observe on their vehicle number plates writing these posts with red color stating that they are extra ordinary persons. Also you can watch writing "PRESS" on vehicles in a very big size.
Friends is it correct claiming this much of priority???

'Channels' of differences

Egoism, Hierarchy, Differences affecting new media organisations badly. Seniority became most problematic area in the coming two news channels TV5 and NTV. ETV and TV9 managements are happy, saying "Kagala Karyam Gandarvule Teerusthunnaru.."

Narendra TV (NTV) home page is now on web (ntvtelugu.com). But its not fully activated. NTV launching date (campaigned as July 21st) is still in confusion. In one stage there is news that Ramanujan (Ex ETV news head) is expected to leave the organisation because of differences with Kommineni SrinivasaRao (Ex Eenadu and Ex AndhraJyothi Chief) [Some persons praise him as super reporter which is an exaggeration.], who is touring all over the state now. Sources saying that NTV will launch its mythological channel 'Bhakthi' first and then will go to 24 hours news channel. But NTV reporters are already in action throughout the state.

With Power minister Shabbir Ali financial support Narendra Chowdary starting the channel which will be the voice of congress. Another congress channel ITV promoted by S/O Y.S. may affect NTV badly. Surya news paper owner, Congress worker SuryaprakasaRao also planning for news channel soon. If at all this is materialised NTV may further in tuff competition with these two channels which are of same ideology.

TV5 launched website two, three months back (tv5news.in, tv5jobs.com) placed its reporters photographs. Some districts like East Godavari are still vacant. This channel is campaigning that trail run is already started and going to be on TV's from August 15th. Expectations on this news channel is high in starting. In reality its success is too hard because of differences in senior heads of news.

The team in the key posts look like rehabilitated persons who are claiming very close to the channel chairman B.R.Naidu. BramhanandaReddy (Ex Udayam), I.Satyanarayana (Ex ETV, Ex Vissa, Recently Ex NTV), K.Srinivas (Ex In cable, Ex Jyothi), Bhaskar (Ex ETV, Ex TV9), Kranthi (Ex TV9) playing prominent roles there. These persons are in rest before joining TV5. They are looking for a bakara who will give opportunity to them at that time.

With this situations in NTV and TV5, ETV and TV9 managements are least bothered about the coming competition from these two new news channels. ETV is now relaxed, knowing present scenario Eenadu group employees are not daring to join in NTV or TV5. Once again Swapna is working to TV9 for specialised programs like earlier (Close encounters, YoungTharang). She is back from Big FM. On the other hand, sources said Kareem (Ex TV9) joining TV5 is almost confirmed with the pressure of TDP supreme Chandrababu pressure.

Try Chesukondi, "Chief" ga...

Will you believe? news papers and channels are in serious search for their bureau chiefs/ News Incharges in vizag. Unfortunately availability of seniors for these posts is by and large nil here. The only way to find out is to offer more salaries and get them from the existing organisations. New channels and papers are now in job of inquiring about potential persons who can lead their bureaus and are prepared to offer 25,000/- to 30,000/-.

Except Eenadu in regional news papers other journalists are hardly getting half of the salaries mentioned above. Same in case of bureau chiefs also. So people leading reporting bureaus eyed on the coming new papers and channels. Eenadu reporters are not interested to join in the new news papers Saakshi and Surya for 4-5 thousands hike. Most of the Eenadu people don't want to experiment with these papers. They remember how their friends are cheated by Vaartha group earlier. Jagan also tried for the Eenadu people offering big salaries but not succeeded for this reason only. He is now aimed on AndhraJyothi and Vaartha people to fulfill his manpower needs which became a scarcity in media in the present situation.

Unfortunately there are not even half a dozen seniors (not mentioning senior mosts) in Vizag who are capable of handling bureaus. Vaartha Bureau incharge YugundharReddy very eagerly waiting for Saakshi offer. He rejected Surya aiming for Saakshi only. People in Vaartha knows that assurances about hike by management is only a eye wash. So, they are looking mostly for Saakshi offers. But seniors in Vaartha want's Saakshi people to ask them, otherwise bargain will not be in favour of them. Vaartha Jayamuni campaigning that he is the bureau chief of Saakshi for Vizag as his brother Patanjali is taken as Editor in Chief.

After departure of YugundharReddy, Andhra Jyothi is suffering from bureau incharge need. This paper is now badly in need of potential reporting incharge. They waited for more than a year for new person and failed to get. This situation went favourable to most incapable person Ratnam (who is less than a Staff reporter and more than contributor) and is named as temporary incharge. Differences between SambasivaRao and Adinarayana also helped Ratnam even he is hopeless fellow.

Vaartha Ex Bureau Chief ShivaShankar (working with Gemini news) is comfortable because of Welfare Malla VijayaPrasad evening daily Vision. He is running the paper on profit sharing basis. He is not interested with new news papers and channels. Some of the media friends thought he may join NTV with help of Power minister Shabbir Ali. But he is enjoying the present positions both in Gemini and Vision.

Surya paper recruited Kulapathi, Peddada Prasad, SrinivasaChary along with Srikanth as Staff Reporters for Vizag. They want a potential person to lead the bureau. No media person are dare to join as bureau chief with a hopeless team like Kulapathi, SrinvasaChary. Surya management is still in trails to get a senior person for their reporting bureau. RamaRao who worked in small papers in Eluru is news coordinator in vizag may be a disadvantage for the person who join Surya. The only reason for RamaRao appointment is; he is from the town of Surya Chairman SuryaprakasaRao and closely associated with him in Eluru.

Senior mosts Ex Eenadu, Ex Jyothi RamaRaju (Business Standard), Ex Andhra Bhoomi Murali Krishna like people may not be considered by the new organisations because of their over seniority. Ex Eenadu Ramanjaneyulu is busy with his activity and Ex AndhraJyothi Bramhanandham taking care of his canteens.

Coming to TV channels Rajesh (Ex TV9) joined as regional coordinator in TV5 is out for the reasons unknown. He had associated with this channel for 2, 3 months. TV5 had limited vizag center only with staff reporter. NTV also following same lines. Prasad is the reporter for vizag. Experienced persons for electronic media in vizag can be counted on fingers. Rajesh who had gap for 1- 1 1/2 years from the field must struggle to get a chance from Channels and Papers. If ITV, proposed AndhraJyothi TV, Surya TV materialises in the first half of 2008 there will be lot of demand for electronic media reporters.

Get ready for the New news papers and channels.

Holding a press conference in the beach city (Vizag) is not an easy task for the organisers. That to if it is a commercial press meet one must be prepared to face big number (nearer to a century sometimes) of media people even though organisers want limited number of reporters according to their invitations. It is a big question for them how to avoid the unwanted media persons? from that venue.

Media name has many advantages. A person without consideration of his status can; enter any place, pose any question to any person irresponsible of his authority, interact with top officers, politicians, police.. etc., on the name of Press. At the same time they can complete personal works and do pairavi on this name. You can observe the letters Press in red color, on media people and their relatives vehicles as if the vehicle belongs to some VIP. Police also give lot of respect for these vehicles even there is some violation of traffic rules and regulations. Will any body leave this VIP chance on the name of Press?

To have special identity in the society people not even with minimum background or experience entering into media starting news papers, magazines etc., There are more than twenty, thirty magazines in vizag which people never heard. These publications will appear only for the sake of their benefits. (Ex. Accreditions, Passes etc.,) The headache for organisers who conducts press meet arise from this type of super reporters.

Organisations, individuals are scared about these reporters who will be present at the time of press meet without any invitation. They will come early have their Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner/ drink/ Tea, snacks take gifts and disappear with rocket speed. Organisers don't know how double the media (some times more than that) came to the meet against invitations. Believe it or not many organisations stopped their regular press interactions because of super reporters rush to that meets.

Here are some incidents which will made clear of the attitude of these reporters;

One doctor arranged a press conference to tell about his clinical activities in Green Park hotel. He sent invitations for all major press and channels. Along with this doctor, some press persons belonged to major news papers were shocked as the number of media attended is very close to 100. Doctor expected 20-30 members in the high end, ordered food accordingly. Can anybody think his position by seeing huge media.

Automobile company released a truck in vizag, arranged press conference in Park Hotel. One media agency person came allover from Bombay to organise press meet. She invited all major English, Telugu press to brief. super reporters came half an hour early, occupied the chairs, took brochures, hand outs along with gifts and jumped. Inspite of regular events coverage major press representatives are on time to press meet. At that moment there are no brochures, hand outs with organisers to give. Media agency person is in a notion that the reporters belongs to major press came early had brochures, gifts. She ignored the major news papers and channel reporters. By the introduction, she realised and able to arrange only xerox copies of hand outs saying 'Sorry'.

Recently Broiler association representatives arranged press conference in cellar of apartment to brief the activities of their business. More than 60 media persons came to that conference and given shock to organiser. He arranged Rs.100/- gift voucher as token of gift for press. Media people literally grabbed these vouchers from him, even he is saying- 'please take one voucher per head'. super reporters begged the organiser to give more than one as they must give to their incharges.

The above are few examples of the new sense created by super reporters. They will come first to the venue and go fast with the gift and brochure without leaving lunch or dinner. Demand for hot drinks. They will occupy the front row chairs as they come early to the press meet. They claim themselves as important media. organisers don't want to quarrel with them and organising press meets secretly. Organisers inviting important news paper, channel reporters they want on some hours notice safe guarding from super reporters. This is the latest trend going in vizag.

Prajay group arranged a press conference in a Star Hotel to tell about their housing activity. They sent invitations to press offices whom they want their news item to be published. Organisers requested reporters to bring the invitations to press meet. Our super reporters went to the venue and stopped by the organisers for not having invitations. One super reporter was very angry with organisers and given threat questioning 'how they conduct press meet without inviting people like him'. For which Prajay people are least bothered.

One Garments company arranged press meet by Koreans in Green Park Hotel. secrecy maintained about this meet by the organisers with the suggestion of some media friends. Around 10 people are invited, company activities briefed to the press. Their purpose of press conference is served, information is published in all major press and are happy.

This is the story of super reporters nature. Many organisations, individuals are not dare enough to hold press meets by sending invitations two, three days in advance. Press conferences followed by Lunch, Dinner, Cocktail almost kept secret upto last minute because of unexpected rush of super reporters.

Here is a funny incident to cote; Hotel Taj residency people invited press some time back to brief their food festival details followed by lunch. As usual huge number of media persons entered the venue. Persons working with major press attended several programs are looked unrest with sweat clothes, disturbed face and hair. Super reporters are limited only for gift and food meets don't go for incidents and other important press coverages are fresh to look. Taj people treated these super reporters as major press correspondents and honoured with high priority. When the channel logos are taken from the bags and reporters introduced themselves, Taj people came to know the fact and told apology.

In media there are some ethics. If a organisation or individual hold press conference, especially commercial press meets, whom they invite is left to them. Generally in this meets lunch/ dinner/ cocktails will be arranged along with some gifts. They are interested with major papers and channels coverage and avoid super reporters. Invitations will be sent accordingly. Rushing into the venue without invitation, occupying front row chairs, grabbing gifts, quarreling with the organisers for not sending invitation is not the way to behave. Organisers will have there own priorities. We must be stick for our limitations.

If this trend continues, a day will come uninvited press persons will be out forcibly. Organisers will defame vizag media by coating incidents like this. Do we want that?

Increasing tv9 popularity

After the arrival of Sai to vizag, tv9 is popularised like never. If you think this popularity because of news items you're mistaken. Channel name became much more familiar in certain groups who are feeding unauthorised staff on behalf of tv9.

Sai aimed at vizag transporters as he knows the every loop hole of transporters as he worked in vijayawada earlier. Jafar recruited stringer Ramakrishna caught Sai thoughts and implemented them successfully. News item appeared about transporters corruption, violation of rules, police collections. From that day Ramakrishna "Dandha" started in Gajuwaka.

With the support of Sai, Ramakrishna tried to suspend one SI Pallamsetty for his own benefits. Ramakrishna, Sai given a story that that SI is collecting lots of money from transporters. The then police commissioner Koumudhi who is famous for taking action on their staff based on the news items reported decided this story as planted and not responded.

Now the bondage between tv9 and transporters became stronger with financial link. Taking care of transporters Ramakrishna spending all his time in Gajuwaka only. He had a courier stall in vizag RTC complex. Raghuram when he worked in MAA TV encouraged him as assistant. Raghuram introduced Ramakrishna to Jafar for apprenticeship. Jafar who want 3, 4 people with him always, took Ramakrishna for coverages. Which given him a strong base for telling he is the authorised representative of tv9.

Jafar given free hand for Ramakrishna which he utilised for his benefits. After the transfer of Jafar Ramakrishna succeeded in impressing Sai, took care of financial matters. Now this courier stall person introduce himself as 'Nigha' special reporter in vizag. Some innocent persons coat Ramakrishna as Chief reporter of vizag tv9 who never appear on screen to maintain his identity as secret. He shifted from vizag to Gajuwaka and very busy in settlements there. This stringer has no time to visit his courier stall even daily once. He is touring on his sumo vehicle maintains 'Nigha' special reporter range in areas like Gajuwaka, Anakapalli, Sabbavaram, Paravada.

Ramakrishna known for news stories manipulation. In vizag rural area he took a political party stand and filed a item on marriage saying bride is minor which is not correct. Because of political rivalry in the village one group want to stop the marriage and used Ramakrishna's weakness of financial acceptance. After publishing this item entire village people surrounded police station for five hours. SI is threatened by the villagers for filing case based on tv9 story. After a week days villagers celebrated the marriage.

This stringer campaigning as tv9 chief reporter appointed rural contributors who are working with some news papers as his agents. These contributors took advantage and using the name of tv9 in rural areas. Ramakrishna appointed Sabbavaram AndhraPrabha contributor ManikyalaRao as his agent there. To suppress the land irregularities made by Sabbavaram MRO; Ramakrishna and Prabha contributor demanded house sites for which MRO accepted. Site worth of 3- 4 lakhs going to be alloted very soon for Ramakrishna considering as 'Nigha' special reporter.

There is another stringer Prakash taking care of Gopalapatnam and Pendurthy. He was already alloted 2 house sites in this area treating him as another special reporter for tv9. His dominating style makes others fear alot. He tried to grab site (Which is alloted for 'Rajiv Gruha Kalpa' in near Gopalapatnam Rythu Bazar) on the name of his relation. This valuble site is safe gaurded with complaint of local Andhra Jyothi contributor.

Not only tv9 stringers are ruling vizag. There are certain allegations on Sai about his house sites, Flats in vijayawada. After coming to vizag he arranged a family function in MVP Colony Girijan Bhavan inviting Top politicians, Officers, Realtors, Transporters, in which lot of gold is floated. Only two or three journalists are invited for this grand celebration. '420' Mandapati KrishnamRaju (Fake notes king) alleging at media persons that Sai demanded 1 lakh for not concentrating on his activities and wife harrasment issue.

Already there is a strong opinion in the people about tv9 that it is a black mailing channel. If the management and CEO RaviPrakash leave this type of people with free hand. tv9 will gain much more popularity in the negative sense. Why RaviPrakash guru Bobby Master keep quite about this episode without feeding his 'sishya' is a big question.

Eenadu journalists are happy for latest positive treatment of their management. It is a routine practice for them to face dissatisfaction words from bosses. Yesterday's Eenadu vizag unit meeting is far away from serious wordings. M.D. Kiran and others tried to impress editorial staff like never before. Eenadu journalists are very happy for this change and started praising their management.

RamojiRao treat review meetings are the scale to measure journalists performance. This is his strong belief from the beginning. Continuing his feeling review meetings for every three months are made mandatory in the organisation. Submitting reports is a big task than the real work for reporters and sub editors in Eenadu. This is a known secret for journalist community.

Earlier these meetings are conducted in unit office itself. Using latest technology management running the show through wireless conferences from Hyderabad only. Journalists in Eenadu will work hard or hard working journalists will be in Eenadu. Everybody admit this fact. But in these meeting their performance praising is very rare. Management always try to express some sought of dissatisfaction towards the editorial work performance. In all the meetings blame their working activity to put continuous pressure.

This trend is a regular and routine to Eenadu journalists. They prepare themselves to face all these wordings from management. But this time, editorial people surprised with the attitude of MD Kiran. He or Hyderabad editorial in charges not even looked at the performance booklets. Praised for working hard all these time. For the first time reacted positively towards editorial performance.

Coming out from the meeting editorial department is in jubilant mood. Enjoying the changed tendency of their supremos saying thanks to the coming rivalry news papers 'Saakshi' and 'Surya'. Now ETV people can also be happy in their meetings thanking 'ITV', 'AndhraJyothi TV', 'NTV', 'TV5 '. What a royal treatment for Eenadu journalists? They are lucky like never. This is the trend in AndhraJyothi, Vaartha, TV9 also. New news papers and channels helped to recognise the real stamina of journalists by the existing organisations.

So we want to bring allegations and feelings about certain persons to your notice through this blog. We got no intentions to discourage any one's morale with our posts. Our team is basically against to it. We don't care the threats in the way of comments and our team is ready to prepare everything.

Journalist 'Credi(t)'bility

Here is one of our present electronic media friend story, who is terrorising the banks and financial institutions in Vizag. He use to took advantage of the advertisement of automobile, electronic etc., products about installment facility. This person won't leave the installment products right from Maruti car to TV. Sometimes there will be new car, two wheeler, new electronic goods at his house which had taken on installment.

One fine day our media friends approached a bank manager to open account for their newly started association. By seeing this person name on that association list, manager asked his where abouts and narrated the episode about their experience with him as defaulter. Based on this incident we tried to get further information which revealed whole story of our friend. He use the name of media for his activities. Local bankers in a notion that all media is like this person. May be for that reason banks rejected to give individual loans for accredited journalist sites.

This friend presently working with Vissa channel and earlier worked in Andhra Bhoomi as stringer. He took the products on monthly installment basis. Will pay first two, three months installments without fail. After that he straight away go to the concerned bank manager or financial institution head introducing himself as one of the top media person in Vizag. Further he says that his finance position is not good now and request not to harass for further installments. But assure them that he will clear the amount in future.

He sell the items to the third person for discounted rate. Also went to court on his house owner and enjoying the house without rent from several months. He use to get sponsorships from the top business persons of vizag who want to campaign on the name of Vissa channel programs. (ex. Vizag Defence Academy, Welfare Group etc.,). He collect amount from the people who want to appear on screen.

Unfortunately bankers black listed journalists along with lawyers, as there is no reputation for them, because of the friends who are misusing the opportunities like this. Bankers are very particular in releasing loans, credit cards and other products regarding journalists, even though their pay slip is eligible to get them. Banks are in fear that journalists took advantage with their field and will be wanted default in repayment. Some of our friends got housing loans, personal loans, credit cards because of their relations with the banks and manger positive impression on that particular persons.

Note; Our intention is not to target a person. We want to throw some light, how unfair activities are going on the name of media.

Site 'Stories'

Journalist house sites became hot topic in media community. Government allotted sites for vizag accredited journalists (basing on 2005 list) at Timmapuram. People who had not got these sites are worried very much and trying to pressurise society in all means. This is the story of people who had only 2006 accreditation's.

Observing the allotment of sites for accredited journalist, non accredited journalists (Stringer/ Contributors) also want to move a proposal to the Government in favour of them. Actually the number of Stringers will be five, six times high comparative with accredited journalists. (Now 180 accredited journalists are getting house sites. This number may reach 200)

Like in other working classes, here also some self announced leaders come forward with the slogan ‘house sites for non accredited journalists’. Soon, non- accredited journalists association started by two media friends who are presently running their own monthly magazines. Nearly 250- 300 members joined the association. Membership fee is fixed as Rs.50/- and collected 10,000/- to 15,000/-.

Vizag Journalist Forum (VJF) office which must be restricted to the forum affairs alone is used as venue by these two fellows for fee collection. On behalf of VJF manager member fee is collected. Months are passing, trails towards the sites proposals is almost nil. Now they are proposing to collect Rs.500 each on the name of future expenses. As this amount is little when compared to house sites benefit most of the people are ready to pay.

Till now they had not taken up the house sites proposal to state level. Unless, said a word to district collector in some meetings as a passing remark. Most of the people are not confident about the Government house sites allotment for non accredited journalists. Revenue sources are also not assuring for sites as there is no clause. Every media person support, if these friends got sites.

But collecting money on the name of house sites is nothing but cheating our own friends. So, members first of all ask about; the old amount and progress of the proposal. Then pay the amount to two self declared association leaders. Don’t think further amount is only 500/-. If 300 people pays it will be Rs.1, 50,000/-. Be cautious.

Award for real journalism

Entire journalist community felt happy today. We are proud for announcing prestigious Ramon Magsasysay award 2007 to renewed journalist Palagummi Sainath for journalism. Sainath proved himself by submitting agriculture, rural economy and drought stories with human touch. We can reach the people hearts with rural stories, not always aiming sensational and corruption items. Sainath once again proved it. Don’t we realize now? And tune attitudes regarding the story lines selection.

Sainath presented many stories which are heart touching. Reality is the life for those stories. He feels the problems of the rural people, which are narrated in such a way common reader can make note of it. His stories on Ananthapuram weavers, Andhra Pradesh women and drought are appreciated by every one. He also filed several stories touring Maharastra, Karnataka etc., states. Some of the poverty, agriculture, women based stories main briefings are placed on the blog for our media friends.

Do you know tv9 Chief Executive Officer V.RaviPrakash had a website? This is maintained by his friends. The information is mostly on, ‘what is RaviPrakash after tv9 launch’. There is no single word about Ravi’s journalism career which started from Vizag. He learnt his journalism ‘ABCD…’ at Andhra University Journalism and Mass Communication Department as a student of Bobby master. Ravi got good personal and business attachments with vizag. Operation 'Mediagiri'

Vizag media ‘mudurs’ took Varun motors Prabhu Kishore stand today. They are very much worried about his group construction activity in BeachRoad. Print and Electronic media assured that they are for his rescue. Literally they acted as P.R.O’s and shown their PRO attitude towards Prabhu Kishore. Why they had done all these “chemchagiri”, start guessing..! Yes, exactly... their over action is for peanuts- (either cash or kind).

Coming to this “chemchagiri” episode, Varun group wants to construct a Star hotel in Vizag BeachRoad opposite to hotel Taj. Five associations belongs to fisherman formed as an organization on the name of ‘Keratam’, prepared to go for court alleging that this hotel construction is against Coastal Regulatory Zone (CRZ) act. They had arranged Press Meet in Vizag Journalist Forum venue today morning, narrated how this construction is against to the act and alleged that Varun people threatening them for filing case.

Some media friends want to take Varun group clarification and contacted its MD Prabhu Kishore. All the way from Hyderabad he rushed to Vizag by flight. Meanwhile he contacted media ‘mudurs’ about this issue. Remembering Prabhu Kishore earlier peanuts taste (Two and half years back Varun motors workshop constructed in residential area rather than in industrial zone near Vignan school located near D.I.G. bungalow. At that time media overlooked with his management techniques), these people attended Prabhu Kishore press conference in the evening which is arranged at Fusion Foods restaurant in Siripuram.

Prabhu Kishore is in confusion what to say about this sensitive issue. Our ‘mudurs’ guided him how to talk and what to talk? Jayamuni (Vartha), Narayana (Visakha Samacharam), BabuRao (Cable Vision), ShivaSankar (Gemini News) like people tried to support him saying ‘no problem sir... we will take care...’ Sensational reporter tv9 Sai who give series of stories on issues like this, is silent. May be; Sai aware that Prabhu Kishore is good friend of tv9 CEO RaviPrakash (Somebody campaigning that there is relation between them) or he is "convinced" by Prabhu Kishore.

After coming out from Vartha, ShivaSankar very rarely attending programs is present today. Jayamuni resigned to Vartha yesterday as he is assured an offer in ‘Saakshi’ by his brother Patanjali who is Editor in chief for that news paper also attended. Narayana even working with reader less paper, he popularized himself with journalist union activities very much here. Electronic media ‘mudur’- Cable Vision BabuRao run the show; he trained Prabhu Kishore how to talk in front of cameras.

With our media ‘mudurs’ feeding Prabhu Kishore alleged that- fishermen organization blackmailing him for the sake of money. In fact it may be true also. Because, there are several incidents where these people filed cases and are kept quite by accepting lots of money. Their concentration is always on CRZ and environmental issues. Anyhow, this is not related to our present subject.

No problematic questions posed by journalist who attended to press conference. As usual Eenadu like people limited to the back row without asking critical questions. (Prabhu Kishore may be cornered by leading publications keeping advertisement potentiality of Varun Motors in view). Press Meet completed smoothly and successfully. Prabhu Kishore satisfied with the treatment of media ‘mudurs’. They are eagerly waiting for his peanuts now. What is the value of peanuts? it is not million dollars.. rupees question.. but 1/3 of it. This feeler is roaming in and around vizag media.

No doubt this is a good story. But our Vizag Jyothi editorial people tried to manipulate it as a fresh story.

Moreover, they want to took credit of this story and written another news item today that there is great response for it. OK.. News papers which write Ton’s of views, investigations more over their personal feelings about person’s who are in news also limited to publish only about their trails for compromise. So far, including sensational news channels or largest circulated news papers failed to get a interview from Chiranjivi or Pavan or Pavan’s first wife Nandini or Nandini’s family members who were residing in the prime areas of the Hyderabad and Vizag cities (They are very much in their own houses only).

Chiranjivi family might have managed TV channels (Megastar got shares in MAA TV, He is the chief guest for inagural cermonies of TV9, Zee TV etc.,) using his contacts. Coming to news papers same is the influence. As a non controvarsial person media got regards to Chiranjivi. Even Chiranjivi not made any pressure to underplay Pavan’s marraige issue, the managements would feel sympathy on Chiranjivi.

Media persons are planting stories that both families are ready to compromise (Almost compromised). May be our news people also looking for this compromise. Beleive us some are trying for this.

No news items were published or telecasted about- how a 15 year minority girl age was maniplated as 18 on records and got married in the presence of responsble persons like Chiranjivi and others.

Can’t any one find her age from school certificates? or from medical tests? Will police can do it? or they also be presurised by this VIP’s- like our news people. If both families are compromised for some social reasons or financial reasons, will court admit all the scene created for some benefits? and ignore the above said age factor? Hope some intellectual persons will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) if they compromise.

Gemini TV which lost the viewership and ratings from past 2 years is now depending on Megastar Chiranjeevi movie Shankardada Zindabad, which is coming from home production of Gemini group. They are trying to attract the fans of Chiru by giving special programmes, special updates and promos of the movie. They are not even inviting other channel crew or allowing them to cover the happenings of the movie even on special requests. Only MAA TV is able to get "some" kind of information on the movie.

Gemini group which made a movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi is now stepping back in movie publicity. When the movie was announced, Gemini made a good table profit by selling the distribution rights to huge amounts. They completely ignored the movie publicity and advertising start from the beginning and now they are public in saying its waste to spend money on movie publicity as the movie became a disaster.

Congress minister from Kamareddy has decided to launch his newstv station by August 28th with the tieup of his scamster friend Narender Choudary. According to sources, Shabbir owns 51% of the tv station and he wants to run it to protect the interests of Congress party.

Sanghi group has been ordered to handover the assigned lands of around 2000 acres to Government within 15 days. Day-before yesterday Ramoji got the same orders from Land Tribunal, now its turn to Sanghi group to receive the notice.
